Differential impact of resilience on demoralization and depression in Parkinson disease

Objectives The objective of this study was to the interrelations demoralization, depression, and resilience in patients with Parkinson disease, and, more specifically, determine if higher disease is associated lower or both. Methods Outpatients ( N = 95) were assessed for resilience, as well sociodemographic, clinical, treatment-related variables. Bivariable associations, standard regressions, linear regression copula correction, correspondence analysis used analyze data. Results Although bivariable association between depression statistically significant, ceased be significant when demoralization taken into consideration both regressions correction. By contrast, not continued consideration. Correspondence revealed that low strongly related combined whereas normal closely correlated without demoralization. Conclusion These results expand our understanding by suggesting it a mechanism evolved reduce prevent just depression. Reducing strengthening part comprehensive treatment plan are likely improve prognosis disease.
